What is Gensun?
Gensun is a family-owned outdoor furniture manufacturer focused on creating furniture that is beautiful, comfortable, and durable. The company has specialized in outdoor furniture since 2001 and is particularly known for its cast aluminum construction.

Why Gensun Stands Out
Gensun combines substantial aluminum construction with a highly configurable design system. Depending on the collection, customers can coordinate frame finishes, woven colors, sling materials, cushions, fabrics, tables, and fire features to build a complete outdoor space.

Gensun specializes in cast aluminum and also uses extruded aluminum where appropriate. Its cast aluminum program uses AA 356 alloy and allows for detailed furniture and tabletop designs while remaining corrosion resistant for outdoor use.

2. Frame & Finish System

Gensun furniture begins with its aluminum construction and extensive finish program.

• Cast Aluminum: Used extensively throughout seating, table, and fire-table designs for strength, weight, and detailed styling.
• Extruded Aluminum: Used in collections and components where a lighter, cleaner structural design is appropriate.
• Powder-Coated Finishes: Gensun offers a broad range of primary frame finishes including Carbon, Chic White, Desert Bronze, Midnight Gold, Onyx, Vintage, and many others.
• Wood-Impression Finishes: Select products and table surfaces are available in GEN-Ipe and GEN-Teak finishes.

Finish availability depends on the individual product and collection.

3. Woven, Sling & Seating Options

One of the biggest advantages of Gensun is the ability to choose between several seating styles.

• Cushioned Frame Seating: Traditional aluminum seating designed to be paired with upholstered cushions.
• Woven Seating: Aluminum frames combined with outdoor woven material for added texture and visual warmth.
• Sling Seating: Supportive fabric sling construction that offers comfort with a streamlined profile.
• Padded Sling: Sling seating with additional cushioning for a softer seating experience.

4. Premium Cushion & Fabric Options

Gensun offers a large made-to-order soft-goods program for cushions, sling seating, padded sling, pillows, and other fabric-dependent products.

• Grade C Fabrics: The starting pricing level used on many of our Gensun products.
• Grades D–F: Additional premium fabric levels are available with corresponding price adjustments.
• Required Cushions: Some Gensun frames require a separate cushion component designed specifically for that piece.
• Collection Coordination: Fabrics can be coordinated across chairs, sofas, loveseats, ottomans, and other cushioned pieces.
• Made to Order: Gensun soft goods are produced to order and are non-returnable.

5. Tables, Fire Tables & Coordinating Pieces

Gensun offers a particularly broad table and accessory program designed to coordinate with its seating collections.

• Dining Tables: Available in multiple sizes for intimate dining through large outdoor entertaining areas.
• Balcony & Bar Tables: Elevated table options coordinate with counter- and bar-height seating.
• Occasional Tables: Coffee, end, and accent tables complete lounge arrangements.
• Cast Aluminum Table Designs: Many table programs use substantial cast aluminum construction designed to coordinate across multiple Gensun seating collections.
• Fire Tables: Gensun offers outdoor fire tables in multiple sizes and heights for lounge and entertaining areas.

Grand Terrace, for example, includes a large cast-aluminum table program designed to coordinate with numerous Gensun seating collections.

6. How Your Order Works

Gensun products fall into both warehoused and made-to-order categories.

• Warehoused Frame-Only Orders: In-stock warehoused frames usually ship in approximately 1–2 weeks.
• Warehoused Frames With Soft Goods: In-stock frames requiring cushions or other soft goods usually ship in approximately 2–5 weeks, depending on fabric availability.
• Custom / Special Orders: Non-warehoused products generally require approximately 10–12 weeks before shipment.
• Made-to-Order Soft Goods: Cushions, sling, padded sling, pillows, umbrellas, and other fabric products are made to order.
• Post-Purchase Confirmation: For complex finish, woven, or fabric configurations, our team can help confirm the selections before the order moves into production.

Production ranges can fluctuate based on product and material availability, and freight transit time is additional.

7. Care & Maintenance

Gensun recommends simple, non-abrasive care for its outdoor furniture.

• Routine Cleaning: Use mild dish soap and warm water for furniture frames and outdoor surfaces.
• Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use harsh cleaners on finishes, fabrics, or woven materials.
• Protect From Chemicals: Insect repellents containing DEET and suntan lotions can stain or damage furniture finishes, fabrics, and woven surfaces.
• Cushions & Fabrics: Clean according to the appropriate fabric-care instructions and allow soft goods to dry thoroughly.
• Furniture Glides: Periodically inspect adjustable glides and hardware to ensure they remain properly positioned and secure.

Gensun specifically recommends mild dish soap and water and warns that DEET, suntan lotions, and harsh cleaners can damage finishes, fabrics, and woven material.
